Our dedicated email hosting services on Axigen support an Outlook add-in called the Axigen Outlook Connector. This connector ensures native connectivity with Microsoft’s email client, enabling the use of Axigen’s calendaring and collaboration capabilities in Outlook, providing Exchange ActiveSync like features. For example, if you were to mark an email as read on your phone, it should appear as read in Outlook on your PC within ~2 seconds, the same for making Contacts or moving Calendar events, etc.
You can download and install the Axigen Outlook Connector free of charge: Download.
NOTE – We recommend ensuring you download the matching version of the Axigen Outlook Connector based on your version of Outlook(32-bit or 64-bit) for a seamless setup.
Setting up an email account in Outlook with the Connector will allow syncing of many services, some of which are:
- Contacts
- Calendar
- Notes
- Tasks
- Shared Files
- Shared Calendars
- Shared Contacts
- Shared Mail
Note – The Axigen Outlook Connector will only function as expected if you have ActiveSync enabled on the mailbox you’re trying to use the Axigen Outlook Connector with.
To make setting up your account in Outlook much easier, we have set up auto-discover on your domain when you purchase a Dedicated Email hosting account.
If you are using our Free DNS Hosting services on your domain name, you can add all of the required dedicated email hosting MX records (including the auto-discover record) in a single click via our available DNS options.
If the auto-discover record exists, all you will need to do once the connector is installed is add the account, enter your email address and password and then hit ‘Check Now’ > ‘OK’, and then restart Outlook.
In the event that you would prefer to add your email account into Outlook manually, or you don’t have an auto-discover record, you can follow Axigen’s steps listed in their guide here.
