Registrants who wish to register and hold .osaka domain names are required to have a connection to the Osaka Community. This may include, but is not limited to:

1. Osaka municipalities local Governments
2. Public or private institutions in the Osaka area
3. Organisations, companies or other businesses/entities in Osaka
4. Residents of Osaka
5. Others who have a legitimate purpose for registering .osaka domain names (eg: brand protection).
